Adam's rebellion brought death, suffering and separation from God into this world. We see the results all around us. But the good news is that God has done something about it.

'For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life' (John 3:16 KJV)

Jesus Christ the Creator, though totally sinless, suffered your penalty of death and separation from God to satisfy the righteous demands of the holiness and justice of His Father for sinners.

Therefore: 'He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God' (John 3:18 KJV)

At this time Mike's evolutionist college teachers could have been very proud of him. He was a good teacher, and he sold the story well. The Lord took that belief, which he held so tightly, and used it to shake his entire foundation. A dear friend took him on as a project. His friend actually took him to the Grand Canyon. They went down the "other" side of the canyon -- the side where they don't usually take tourists. His friend pointed to some rock, "How many years would you say it is from here to here?" Mike had been a good student, he knew just how many million years it would have taken to lay down those layers. His friend didn't argue, he just stepped around the corner and pointed to the entire reason they were there. It was a tree, rather a petrified tree, it ran vertically through all of those millions of years. He friend said, "Trees live a long time, but I don't think they live that long, Mike."

Mike is a very steadfast, committed person. It took more to make him realize that the evolutionist's timetable wasn't really written in stone. His friend showed him a weed seed with sixteen turns wound into it. When that seed gets wet it rights itself and drills itself into the ground. (Children get to add water and see this seed drill itself into the ground in the General Science II Science Labs-in-a-BoxC program.) Only a Master Designer could have devised this unique seed. Evolution couldn't answer the questions of how and why. Over time, Mike came to devoutly believe in God, and that God created in six days. There is no room for evolution.
